Following the unprecedented events of the last weeks, we have had to think creatively to respond to the rapidly changing hospitality sector in order to stay afloat and be in a position to bounce right back after the storm. We are aware of the tremendous pressure on food delivery services and want to contribute in getting good food out to people so that you can stay home and stay safe.

It is a rapidly changing situation and we are continually assessing best practice to keep our customers and staff safe. As a result we have decided to no longer offer a hot food delivery service. Instead we have our full range of dumpling flavours available in frozen packs, as well as freshly made bao buns that will keep in your fridge or can be frozen for later. We will be doing two delivery runs per week on Tuesday and Saturday, so please place your orders by 1pm the day before for next day delivery. We’ll also be doing monthly delivery runs further a field. For more information on the procedures we have put in place to ensure that you can eat and enjoy our food with confidence please go to our hygiene procedures page.

Your support of our local economy through the next few weeks and months could make or break a lot of independents in the same boat so look out for all the ingenious community initiatives that will inevitably come about.

Also, if you’re in a position to do so, please consider paying it forward by purchasing a meal for an nhs staff member, or buying an Ah-Ma’s gift voucher to redeem anytime in the future. Bristol Love. Thank you!

Wowsers! Ah-Ma’s gets a mention in the Metro!

No sooner after our last post yesterday did we discover Ah-Ma’s is in another top street food line up. This time in the Metro’s 15 Amazing Pop-up Eateries You Have To Visit This Autumn!

We’re just totally delighted that we can bring to you a small sampling of what growing up with real homemade Cantonese food was like. No MSG, no gloop, no bright artificial colourings, just fresh, simple ingredients balanced delicately to let the produce do the talking. And there’s certainly more to come!

In the new year we’ll have made our move into a brand spanking new kitchen to base dumpling HQ. Watch this space for developments!

Ah-Ma’s gets a mention in Culture Trip’s Best Street Food in Bristol

It’s been a busy few months at Ah-Ma’s HQ, not least because we’ve expanded our regular markets to include a monthly trip to the Frome Independent, a market that takes over the whole of Frome town centre with over a 100 stalls showcasing local designers alongside vintage, flea and of course local producers and street food. Sunday 6th December will be the last date before March 2016, so be sure to check it out to support the rich, diverse community of local makers and producers.

With all the busy-ness we’ve also not had a chance to write about another mention we’ve had for the unadulterated tasty food we produce, this time by Culture Trip no less, in another Best Street Food in Bristol line up. We’re delighted to be up there with fellow Bristol Eats members Gopal’s Curry Shack and Viet Vite. As well as the regular Temple Quay markets on Thursdays watch this space for a final Bristol Eats street food night before Christmas.

Hold up! We’re fitting in one last event before we head off on some holidays to Hong Kong – Following the success of the Bristol Pound 2nd Birthday, the Bristol Pound team will be hosting a special Food Connections Night Market in St Nicholas Market on Friday May 8th from 5.30pm – 9.30pm.

The Corn Exchange will be transformed again with street performers, musicians and other food traders along with us, including fellow BEATS members Gopal’s Curry Shack, Moorish and La Bonne Crepe. Looking forward to serving our steamy Dim Sum and soaking up the atmosphere!
